Between 01.01.2022 (10:00) – 02.01.2022 (10:00) were reported by INSP 17 deaths (11 men and 6 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad , Bihor, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Dolj, Harghita, Ilfov, Mehedinți, Prahova, Satu Mare, Timiș and Vaslui.
Of the 17 deaths, 2 were registered in the age group 40-49 years, 1 in the age category 50-59 years, 1 in the age category 60-69 years, 7 in the age category 70-79 years and 6 in age group over 80 years.
All deaths were from patients with comorbidities.
No deaths were reported before the reference period.
Of the 17 patients who died, 13 were unvaccinated and 4 were vaccinated. The 4 vaccinated patients who died were between the ages of 40-49 and over 80 years old. All vaccinated patients who died had comorbidities.
In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 2,355. Of these, 401 are hospitalized at ATI. Of the 401 patients admitted to the ICU, 32 had a certificate attesting to the vaccination.
Out of the total number of hospitalized patients, 55 are minors, 47 being hospitalized in wards and 8 in ATI.
To date, 11,066,803 RT-PCR tests and 6,062,282 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 4,120 RT-PCR tests were performed (1,710 based on case definition and medical protocol and 2,410 on request) and 12,093 rapid antigen tests.
