LG entered the gaming notebook market, and along with the LG UltraGear 17G90Q, two interesting monitors were presented: LG UltraFine and LG DualUp.
I’m doing a short introduction before presenting the specifications behind LG UltraFine and LG DualUp.
I use my laptop at the office ASUS ROG Strix Scar III connected to a monitor BenQ EX3203R in landscape mode (find a review of the BenQ EX3200R here) and a 27-inch LG monitor in portrait mode. Is about LG 27QN880 (100 lei more expensive than when I bought it – December 2020) what I chose for the adjustable leg that goes fixed on my cheap IKEA office (the place where the cables should go to the dedicated space for organization and socket).
It doesn’t have any specifications, but that leg that allows adjustment in any position brings an extra flexibility that I did not discover in another monitor. Yes I know. The specifications of the monitor are a maximum of 1000 lei.
The fact that LG has an original approach in the monitor market seems to me from the beginning an important point. Let’s find out together what we propose in 2022 through LG UltraFine and LG DualUp.
1. LG UltraFine 32UQ85R;
It was designed for graphic designers, photo and video editors, content creators and so on It uses a 32-inch LG Nano IPS Black panel with 4K resolution – 3840 x 2160 pixels, promises a deep black and vibrant colors + depth given to images, etc.

2. LG DualUp 28MQ780;
