What is the fastest computer in the world? Probably some of you would start with the selection of top components, but this is not necessarily a good approach. When it comes to speed in terms of movement, the new machine developed by SEGA is the winner here.

The Japanese producer of computer games boasted an unusual project developed in cooperation with Intel and ASRock. The task was to build the fastest computer in the world. And it wasn’t about performance at all, but about the speed of the racing track.

They built the fastest computer in the world

The engineers combined a miniature computer with a model of a remote-controlled car. Importantly, it is not a “bastard” at all, because on board there was:

  • procesor Intel Core i9-12900K
  • motherboard ASRock Z690M-ITX / ax
  • 2x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory
  • ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula 16 GB graphics card
  • dysk SSD Crucial P5 Plus 2 TB

And one more very important detail – to make the equipment even faster, the Sonic logo was placed on the computer casing :-).

What came out of it? See the video below – we can say that the equipment in the hands of Masami Hirosaki (a multiple rally champion of RC models) reached 100 km / h.

The project was created to advertise winter sales on the Steam platform (there are many discounted titles, e.g. from SEGA). However, it is worth adding that the computer can also be won in a special competition. Let’s hope that the lucky one will be able to control the equipment, because breaking the “i-nine” and the top Radeon will be … an extremely painful experience.
