A Samsung is providing a new firmware update for the Galaxy A51, which is nothing more than the security patches for the Android operating system for the month of January 2022. This is actually the first device to receive the patches in question, something that even Google’s own phones have not yet received.
The update in question, for the Galaxy A51, comes with firmware version A515FXXU5EUL3 and is currently being made available for devices in Malaysia and Russia. It contains the January 2022 security patch, but Samsung has yet to reveal which vulnerabilities have been fixed in it. As usual, the update may include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
So, if you have a Galaxy A51, you can check if the new update is already available to you by going to Settings, Software update and tapping Download and install.
