As of January 1, public institutions are no longer allowed to ask individuals and companies for copies of permits or other documents that have been issued by other state institutions, writes news.ro. President Klaus Iohannis promulgated on November 9th the normative act by which it is forbidden public institutions and specialized bodies of the central public administration to ask individuals or legal entities, in order to resolve requests for the provision of a public service, copies of notices or other documents that have been issued by state entities.

“It is forbidden for public institutions and specialized bodies of the central public administration to request individuals or legal entities, in order to resolve requests for the provision of a public service, copies of notices or other documents that have been issued by public institutions or specialized bodies of the central public administration. The public institutions and the specialized bodies of the central public administration request from the entities that issued the documents provided in paragraph (1), in electronic format, copies or extracts from them based on the express consent of the beneficiary of the public service ”, the text of the law states.

The measure enters into force on January 1, 2022
