The heat is biting

As soon as the heating season started, the residents felt that the heat was breaking the bones as well – about a third of the bills had swelled. According to the State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT), Vilnius heat networks have been operating since December 1. supplies heat for 8.74 cents (per kilowatt hour), Kauno Energija – for 5.3 cents, Klaipėdos Energija – for 6.29 cents, Šiaulių Energija – for 6.67 cents, Panevėžio energija – for for 5.94 cents. And Nemenčinės komunalininkas (12.89 cents), Nemėžio komunalininkas (12.5 cents) and Pravieniškės Correctional Facility provide heat not only to the prison but also to the settlement (13.98 cents).

It is a pity, but VERT does not publish reference prices (as they were before December 1). True, due to rising heating prices, more people will be able to receive compensation for heating their homes next year, as the amount of state-subsidized income will be doubled. It is estimated that about 15 thousand people will acquire the right to receive compensation for heating costs next year. people, in total, about 110 thousand will receive this compensation. people.

Gas and electricity are also expensive

But one problem is not a problem. From January, electricity and gas will also become drastically more expensive. VERT has approved new public electricity prices for the population. As a result, the most popular “standard” tariff for one time zone will reach 16.7 cents per kilowatt-hour – 1.5 cents more than at present. Tariffs for other plans will rise from 6.8 to 18.6 percent.

Natural gas for the population, depending on consumption, will rise in price by 27-36 percent from January.

Gas for cooking will rise in price by 26.9 percent. – 63 to 80 cents per cubic meter, with the fixed part remaining the same at 56 cents. For home heating – up to 20 thousand. cubic meters of gas per year for households – the price will increase by 34.2 percent. (from 41 to 55 cents), and for those who consume more – 36 percent. (39 to 53 cents). The fixed part does not change – 3.99 euros.

The more expensive the smoke, the more expensive the degree

However, this is not all if you use excise goods, because excise duties on smokers and intoxicants have been increasing since January.

Stock rates will increase by about 7% for cigarettes, 20% for cigars and cigarillos, 7.8% for smoking and unmanufactured tobacco, and 32% for smoking tobacco and alternatives. As a result of these changes, the price of a pack of cigarettes will rise by an average of 17 cents, and that of smoking tobacco by 27 cents, and 20 g of cigars or cigarillos by 27 cents.

Worse for gamblers as well

The government has decided to raise more money for the budget by imposing additional taxes on lotteries and gambling, as it has increased the one-time fee for their organizers. There will also be a provision that when organizing lotteries, the tax base (for the nominal value of distributed lottery tickets) will be replaced by the 5% currently applied. the tax rate will be applied at 13 percent. lottery and gambling tax rate. So if the organizers do not take on the extra burden on themselves, the need to gamble may increase or the prizes may decrease.

The net disappears

Another crucial innovation, especially for the provincial population, is that from January, any employment-related benefits (salary, daily allowances and reimbursement of mission expenses) will have to be paid only by bank transfer. In other words, cash payments will be prohibited (the exemption will only apply to seafarers). The Seimas ignored the observation that in such a case the residents of the province will be left without the opportunity to pay for goods and services, as ATMs are not available in many places, and it is not possible to pay with cards in all shops, hairdressers, sewing shops, etc. Banks have signed a memorandum committing to open 100 new ATMs a year, but have not opened any in the first half of the year since the memorandum was signed.

Persons whose income exceeds one VMU would maintain the current level of NPD (EUR 400), so those earning more than one VMU would not benefit from the increase in NPD.

From 2022 the pension indexation mechanism is also being changed. Next year, the individual part of the pension will be additionally indexed and the general part of the pension will be equalized regardless of the length of service. The average old-age pension will increase from 414 to 465 euros next year, and the average old-age pension with the required length of service – from 441 to 489 euros.

This should increase their pay from € 12 to € 52 per hand, depending on the job group and the salary scale set.

For singles and children

From next year, the circle of single-person benefit recipients will expand. It will be available to almost five times as many people of the country – about 280 thousand single people of retirement age and the disabled, for whom 55 percent have been identified. or lower working capacity. The benefit will be granted on the basis of the data on the marital status of the persons in the Population Register – there will be no need to submit a written or telephone application.
