“Let it be a good year. For everyone. We wish this to you with all our hearts,” wrote President Andrzej Duda, sending his New Year’s greetings together with his wife. Other politicians also wished health, peace and happiness. The leader of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, quoted an excerpt from a poem by Wisława Szymborska.

Poland welcomed the New Year’s Eve with this New Year’s Eve – 2022. Wishes on this occasion were made by, among others, President Andrzej Duda and his wife on Twitter.

“Dear TT people! Let this New Year’s Eve 2021/2022 be unforgettable for you! Let 2022 bring you what you have planned and what you dream about. Let it be a good year. For everyone. We wish this to you with all our hearts!” – he wrote, publishing a New Year’s Eve photo with Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki posted a photo with his wife and children on Twitter. “The best in 2022,” he wrote.

Tusk: I believe in Poland, in you, in better days

A few hours before midnight, the leader of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, wrote: “And I believe: in Poland, in you, on better days.”

“Remember these words of Szymborska: Why are you, bad hour, mixing with unnecessary fear? You are – so you have to pass. You will pass – so it’s beautiful” – he added, quoting Wisława Szymborska’s “Nothing Twice”.

The deputy head of the Civic Platform, MP Izabela Leszczyna, wished this year to be “healthier, cheaper and safer than the old one that is leaving”.

“We wish to express our wishes together with my colleague – Damian, whose help in the MEP’s daily work is invaluable! PS Have fun safely! I am staying at home” – she added and provided the entry with a photo.

Best wishes for health, happiness and prosperity from PiS politicians

PiS MEP Beata Szydło also wished “happy 2022”. “Let the coming year be calm, healthy and filled with a sense of security for you” – she added.

The minister of family and social policy, Marlena Maląg, posted the wishes on Friday on the website of the ministry. “On the occasion of the upcoming New 2022, I sincerely wish you all the best and the power of happiness. I sincerely hope that it will be better than the passing, we will manage to overcome adversities together and we will be able to enjoy each other’s presence without restrictions” – she wrote between others.
