If 2021 was marked by the “George Enescu” Festival, a month of concerts and events, 2022 will be the year of rock concerts. Among the most important bands, some for the first time in Romania, are: Kiss, Iron Maiden, WASP, Judas Priest, Placebo, Dream Theater, Tarja Turunen, Foreigner, Evanescence, Pet Shop Boys, Hooverphonic.
The English musician Sting will perform on March 15, 2022 in Cluj-Napoca with bassist Joe Sumner, his son. The Cherrytree Music Company, Live Nation, Emagic and Backstage Production have announced that Sting will hold a special “My Songs” concert in Cluj-Napoca, at the BT Arena, starting at 7 p.m.
The Pink Martini concert is scheduled for April 9, at the Palace Hall, from 20.00. The violinist David Garrett will also play here, on May 17, and on May 20, in Cluj-Napoca, on the BT Arena stage.
The American band WASP will hold a special concert on May 17, 2022 at Romexpo, in Bucharest. The event will be part of the “40th Anniversary World Tour”.
Dutch artist Sharon Kovacs, known to the general public by her stage name, Kovacs, will sing on May 21, 2022 at Form Space in Cluj Napoca. The event will follow all the rules in force on the date of its event. Only 500 tickets are on sale.

The latest record is “Looking For Stars” which was released in 2018.
The legendary British band Iron Maiden returns to Romania on May 26, 2022, at Romexpo. The new concert that will promote the album “Senjutsu”. The German band Lord Of The Lost will play in the opening. The event will comply with the rules in force at the time of its conduct, the organizers announce.
Dream Theater will arrive at Romexpo on May 29, 2022, to present live to the Romanian public the new record product entitled “A View From The Top Of The World”, which was released on October 22, 2021.
The American group Foreigner returns to Romania with a concert scheduled for May 29, 2022 at the Roman Arenas in Bucharest, in the open air.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets was scheduled for June 9, 2022 at the Roman Arenas. The famous drummer Pink Floyd will play the first two Pink Floyd albums with his band. It also includes the well-known Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet and Guy Pratt (live bassist Pink Floyd and David Gilmour, Michael Jackson, The Smiths, Coverdale-Page, Iggy Pop or Tom Jones) on bass and vocals.
Retro Music Festival will take place on June 24-26, 2022. The following have been announced: CC Catch, Lian Ross, La Bouche, Corina Chiriac, Arabesque, Corona, Stela Enache, Baccara, Fun Factory, Dida Dragan, Ice Mc, Milli Vanilli , Mirabela Dauer, Las Ketchup, Adrian Daminescu, Samantha Fox or Jenny Berggren from Ace of Base.
Gogol Bordello performs on June 29, 2022 at the Roman Arenas in Bucharest. The event is the rescheduling of 2021, so tickets already purchased remain valid. The gypsy punk band is known for songs like “Start wearing purple”, “Wonderlust King”, “Pala Tute”, “Immigraniada”, “Immigrant punk”.
Pet Shop Boys return to Bucharest after 14 years, in the world tour “The Greates Hits Live”. The concert will take place at the Roman Arenas in Bucharest on July 4, 2022. Pet Shop Boys is one of the most successful duos in the musical history of Great Britain with over 22 singles in the UK Top 10 and number four: ” West End Girls ”,“ It’s a Sin ”,“ Always on My Mind ”and“ Heart ”.
The fourth edition of the Neversea festival returns in 2022 on July 7-10. The Neversea 2022 lineup is currently made up of: Alan Walker, Black Eyed Peas, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo, Tchami, Timmy Trumpet, Tujamo, Ummet Ozcan, W&W and ZHU.

Electric Castel 2022 will take place on July 13-17 at Banffy Castle in Cluj-Napoca. This edition is the rescheduling of the summer of 2021. The famous British band Placebo returns to Bucharest on July 13, 2022 at Romexpo, outdoors. Placebo is an alternative rock band, formed in England in 1994 by Brian Molko (vocals, guitar, music, keyboards) and Stefan Olsdal (bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals). The group underwent several changes of composition, but Molko and Olsdal were permanent presences.
KISS will perform for the first time in Romania at the ROCK THE CITY 2022 festival. The festival returns after a break of almost three years, which will be the 11th edition. On July 16, 2022, Rock The City introduces you to two rock music legends: KISS and WHITESNAKE, both on their audio tour.

ARTmania Festival has been rescheduled for July 22-24, 2022. Season tickets already purchased remain valid. For the first time in Romania, Transatlantic, the prog supergroup that includes Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater, drums), Neal Morse (ex-Spock’s Beard, vocals, guitar, keyboards), Pete Trewavas (Marillion, bass guitar) and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings, guitar) will play on the stage in the Great Square of Sibiu at ARTmania Festival 2022. In addition to Transatlantic, on the stage in the Great Square of Sibiu will perform, in the three days of the festival, My Dying Bride, Testament and The Pineapple Thief, Mercyful Fate, Meshuggah.
