On Friday, Michaeli, Schwartz & Brit Zrt. Became the owner of 90.9 Jazzy Radio and Classic Radio 92.1. The two radios will continue to be run by Imre Suri, the current managing director of Magyar Jazz Rádió Kft.
The media company is currently the publisher of 1688. and 168 Óra, Pesti Hírlap, ELLE, ELLE Decoration and Elle.hu.
As a modern media company, it is important to have as diverse a portfolio as possible, we cannot stop at print and online publications. I consider Jazzy and Classic Radio to be a very strong brand in its category, which represents a serious value in the domestic media market. Both radios are characterized by intellectual music and a high standard of content, and we want to keep them as new owners and provide students with the high quality they are accustomed to.
– said Pál Milkovics, CEO of Michaeli, Schwartz & Brit Zrt.
Michaeli, Schwartz & Brit Media (formerly Brit Media) is half owned by the pro-government Israeli-Georgian businessman Michaeli Shabtai and half owned by Paul Milkovic.
As we wrote, Michaeli became known as the owner of an implant company called Princess Bakery and SGS. He earned a fifty per cent stake in British Media this summer, which has since changed names.
