We have 12,032 new cases of coronavirus, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday, the first day of the new year. 505 COVID-19 patients have died. A week ago, on December 25, there were 10,778 cases and 296 deaths.
We have 12,032 new and confirmed cases of infection coronawirusem from the following voivodeships: Mazowieckie (1718), Małopolskie (1276), Śląskie (1218), Greater Poland (1121), Dolnośląskie (1109), Pomeranian (776), Łódzkie (746), West Pomeranian (720), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (562), Podkarpackie (536), Lublin (478), Warmian-Masurian (411), Opole (405), Świętokrzyskie (381), Lubuskie (316), Podlasie (160). 99 infections are data without specifying an address, which will be supplemented by the sanitary inspection.
Due COVID-19 179 people died, while 326 people died due to the coexistence of COVID-19 with other diseases.
19,408 people with COVID-19 are currently in hospitals, including 1,897 patients connected to ventilators, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday. 31,625 beds and 2,555 ventilators were prepared in hospitals for COVID-19 patients.
The ministry said that 193,405 people were in quarantine. The Ministry of Health also reported that 3,645,692 infected have recovered so far.
Over 6.6 million Poles received the third dose
In Poland, 46 962 321 injections have been made since the end of December 2020. 21,042,850 people were left fully vaccinated, i.e. with two doses of preparations from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca or with a single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
A booster dose was taken by 6,654,445 people.
In total, 96,550,560 doses were delivered to Poland, 51,035,195 of which reached the vaccination points. A total of 743,048 doses of vaccine were utilized.
17,090 adverse reactions have been reported; most of them were mild, with redness and brief soreness at the injection site.
