NEW YEAR’S EVE HEARINGS 2022. Surprise hearings on New Year’s Eve. For the first time, Pro TV surpassed Antena 1 and Dan Negru’s New Year’s Eve on New Year’s Eve. Usually, New Year’s Eve was the few days of the year when Antena 1 left Pro TV far behind, which for years preferred a “non-combat” and broadcast movies.

What did Pro TV have? Generic: Protevelion, a show with the stars of the station and guests, presented by Pavel Bartoş and Raluka, with dialogues between presenters and guests who were permanently on stage (much like Negru’s “steps”), a lot of popular and party music, a little mystery (not masks, like in Black, but “shadows” on a screen), everything filmed as a talent show (it was in the set where Romanians have talent, SuperStar or Vocea României are filmed).

Plus Light Balance (America’s Got Talent). And (very) much Pepsi (the sponsor of the program) and a lighted set in the colors of the brand.

What did Antena 1 have? The classic New Year’s Eve of the stars, with masks (a format that Dan Negru said was the last time he did it), with Romică Ţociu, Cornel Palade, Selly and moments inspired by the fashionable series: Squid Game or Casa del Papel competitions.

It should be noted that Dan Negru’s program started at 22.00, as usual, and the New Year’s Eve started at 20.00.

Paginademedia.ro presents the audiences of New Year’s Eve 2022, ie the time interval of “maximum audience” on the night between the years, 22.00-2.00:

NATIONAL. Across the country, more than two million Romanians watched Protevelion every minute. At the same time, almost 1.9 million Romanians were watching New Year’s Eve with the Black Danes. How did the top continue?

There was almost a tie between Kanal D and New Year’s Eve on Romania TV. The third place for Kanal D, with almost 700,000 Romanians and, at a very short distance, of 14,000 viewers, the fourth position for Romania TV.

The rest of the channels are far behind. TVR 1, for example, was almost half as the audience of România TV.

URBAN. In the cities, over 1.1 million Romanians watched Protevelion, while almost 900,000 watched Dan Negru.

România TV was in third place in the cities, and ahead of Kanal D, not only of the public channel TVR 1.

COMMERCIAL. The New Year’s Eve on Pro TV was on the first position and on the commercial audience, both on the classic one (18-49 years old) and on the new commercial one (21-54 years old ABCD National). On the commercial public, practically only two New Year’s Eve counted: Pro TV and Antena 1.

For example, on young audiences, 18-49 years old, New Year’s Eve audiences with Black (second place) were more than four times larger than the three or four places, occupied (at a very short distance from each other) by Kanal D and Romania TV.
