The manager of the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service, Alis Grasu, declared on Saturday morning that 491 people needed the emergency service, of which 367 were cases of code red and yellow.
Alis Grasu, SABIF manager: “We worked hard at the Ambulance Service, like every night. We are talking about 491 people who needed an ambulance. Of these, 367 people had red and yellow code emergencies. 113 people needed an ambulance for emergency consultations at home. There were also 11 people who requested the collection of biological samples, in order to perform the PCR test.
46 people in all cases had either emergencies related to Covid-19 disease, people diagnosed and left at home, or were people who needed consultations and had suspicions of Covid-19.
This is a 10% decrease in the total number of applications compared to last year. If we look only at New Year’s Eve, it was a sad New Year’s Eve.
I haven’t had a new case of firecrackers or fireworks.
There were 86 people who did not necessarily overeat, but had digestive problems, some of them due to pre-existing conditions. All the dishes that are prepared for New Year’s Eve are quite difficult to digest, they are calorie bombs and some wanted to taste them all on New Year’s Eve.
It was like an ordinary night when the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance is very busy.
Today there will be a greater number of requests, from the experience of previous years.
We have to take into account that some of the inhabitants of the Bucharest-Ilfov region went to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the mountains or in other areas “.
